Mario galaxy and Mario 64 are almost equally great side by side, but Never did Mario Galaxy have the overwhelming wow factor. The real jump for video games IN GENERAL! to 3d. It’s not like mario can jump into the 4th dimension. It’s suprising Mario never got stale as the biggest name in video games EVER! Sonic, crash, jak, THPS, Mega Man, blinx all lost it, though some are trying to revive themselves. Even without the wow factor, I think Mario 64 is better by a hair.

I only had 1 instance where the camera was terrible. In the clock level, if you want to set off the blue coin box, and you have to rush back along a thin bar with the camera at a diagonal angle.
I really think this is the best game in history. I didn’t even grow up with it, I had a playstation, and was the only kid in my entire town who had a PS1. I just played it last year when someone gave me a Rom and emulator. My school has laptops, and emulators are a huge thing.
