while holding the wii remote flat, shake it up RIGHT when you go off of a ramp (otherwise it will not do a trick if you wait too long)
I like using the gamecube controller bc its easier for me and you just press the up on the control pad

There are no tricks except…You know your person in the place where you do the match part??? You could press on the question marks then the question marks become yourself so you can win and lose. Or just press on yourself and then the question mark comes then you could vs yourself with someone else. LOL!!
