815sonicfreak518, do you mean Dual Layer Discs? yea u can play with it but has to be DVD+R Dual Layer to play e.g. Super Smash Bros Brawl at the lowest speed (2x) burning. Only ImgBurn is capable of best Dual Layer burning

    u can play wii …
u can play wii games without modchips soulisland. its called backup loader or something but does not giv u best performance such as video lags and no audio problems. mine is D2C the latest version n im happy with it. if u intend to use backup loader, u need the homebrew channel installed by installing the twilight hack first and a copy of zelda twilight princess (depending on wot system firmware u got)

    Nice video, well …
Nice video, well explained :) you did a good job. I’m looking in to this but keep seeing videos were people are doing this with out the mod chips

    Yea, I got a …
Yea, I got a LG8163b since 2004 and i had no idea that i could dump Wii games until this year when I looked at this video. I had mine lying under my bed all these years n found out how lucky I was. Wot are the chances of that?

I dont mind if it takes over 3 hours to dump an image file…as long as it does the job done.

I do hav a hard time renting Wii games it’s never available to rent, so i either borrow from friends or download them via Bit Torrent

    Thanks for the film …
Thanks for the film – got a LG8161B of ebay for £6, dumped Tiger Woods PGa 09, burnt on verbatim dvd-r and plays perfectly on my wii (wiikey 2 fitted, drive had epoxy on but managed to get it off)

It should do. To be …
It should do. To be honest, i never converted any games for my UK Wii (3.1E) as i live in the uk and i stick to PAL since alot of the games are kinda the same as NTSC. B4 u want to convert a PAL game to NTSC, wouldnt it be better to download the NTSC versions of Wii games (just to be on the safe side) and play on your US Wii?

  • pacers10 says:

    so if I have a pal …
so if I have a pal game from download I can convert that to ntsc without harming my US wii correct?

  • FidFighter2 says:

    pacers10, if u live …
pacers10, if u live in the US, u wouldnt hav to use RegionFrii unless if ure in the UK. Just brick block it to stop from firmware updates or u can download WuM (Wii Update Manager) to downgrade the system update from the ISO file if Brick Blocker fails

  • ALIQURESHI786 says:

    that is because …
that is because except for just pc internal hard drives can hold a single file that is more than 4 gb. Your gonna have to put it in parts using winrar.

  • pacers10 says:

    one more thing, do …
one more thing, do you have a problem putting the iso’s on an external hard drive? I have a wd 320gb, and have 50gb of space, and it says the file is too large for destination, I freed up 5gb worth of space and same thing. Have you ran into that

  • pacers10 says:

    Wonderful video, …
Wonderful video, super easy and very explanitory. One question is, is the regionfrii necessary to use every time? From your video it seems like if you live in the US its always going to be US, so should I even bother doing it, I have been doing it just in case, because I don’t know any better, and would rather be safe than sorry. Please Advise, thank you again for the great video

    also dont download …
also dont download regenfrii the zango program zango needed to download it is a virus

    I forgot to mension …
I forgot to mension that if you do plan to update, the chances are that some of your Wii games will stop working and will prompt you on a black screen saying “THE SYSTEM FILES HAS BEEN CORRUPTED. PLEASE EJECT THE DISC AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON FOR 4 SECONDS” or something like that. It happened to me nearly 3 weeks ago when i accidently updated mine which was annoying as i wanted to play mario kart Wii n did not work anymore. Thank goodness there was a downgrader to set my Wii back to 3.1E.

  • FidFighter2 says:

    Dont mension it …
Dont mension it nwii07 . merry xmas to u and a happy new year! ^_^
Just let me know if u ever need more help.!!!
BTW, sometimes when i put a Wii backup game on my computer, it says AUDIO CD for some reason even though its a Wii game. LOL!!!

BTW, when u download any of the newer games, i advise you not to do system update whicg might disable your homebrew capbilities and other cool stuff. If your Wii is 3.3E, there is a downgrader. 3.1E or 3.2E is the best choice to downgrade!

  • nwii07 says:

That’s how it is. The data is already inside the disc, but the computer will not show it. I know this because i tested it on Alcohol 120% and when i click on the mount image wizard, it shows the name of the disc and the disc size….hope that helped

    Angelmickey and all …
Angelmickey and all you wii backup experts,
I have managed to copy a wii iso on my desktop using rawdump, regfri, unbricker, were able to burn the image successfully on a dvd-r and play on wii console. Now when i try again to burn other images, i am able to burn the isos to disc – shows correct size 4.37gb, image burn rings a tune and displays burn successful but when i access contents on the dvd-r there is no image, just displays empty disc, what am i doing wrong, can somebody help
